    Frequently Asked Questions

What restaurant and café words will I learn?
The deck covers the menu, ordering, drinks, and paying: the waiter, the bill, the table, coffee, and the rest of the words you use when you eat out. These are the German words you reach for most in a restaurant or café.
Are the nouns shown with their article?
Yes. Each noun comes with its article (der, die, or das), since the gender is part of the word. Learning die Rechnung rather than just Rechnung means you have the gender right from the start.
How does the deck stay focused on what I do not know?
You rate each card after flipping it. Hard cards come back sooner and easy cards wait longer, so your time goes to the words you have not learned yet. Signed-in users keep their progress between sessions.
Where is the full restaurant and café word list?
The complete restaurant and café page lists every word with example sentences. These flashcards are the practice version of that list.
