    Goethe A2 German Nouns Flashcards

At A2 your German vocabulary grows well beyond the basics, and the nouns are where most of that growth happens. This deck collects the A2-level German nouns from the Goethe word list and turns them into flashcards. Each card shows the noun in German with its article, and you flip it to check the English meaning.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What nouns are on the Goethe A2 list?
The deck covers the nouns added at the A2 level: a wider range of everyday words for work, travel, health, and daily life that build on the A1 base. Together with the A1 nouns, these make up the noun vocabulary the A2 exam expects.
Are the nouns shown with their article?
Yes. Each noun comes with its article (der, die, or das), since the gender is part of the word. Learning the article together with the noun saves you from relearning it later.
Can I study the whole A2 noun deck here?
The web page gives you a preview of the deck so you can try it out. The full A2 noun set, with spaced repetition across every card, is available in the iPhone app, which is free to start.
Where is the A2 noun word list?
The Goethe A2 nouns resource page shows the word list with articles and example sentences. These flashcards are the practice version of that list.
